Impromptu Road Trip - Day 4
Today we went to Baton Rouge and we were lucky enough to be given a free tour of the State Capital building. So much history there. Our tour guide was awesome! She said she had only been there for a short while. Her passion for the history there was very apparent. I am glad we decided to stop. We even went out onto the observation deck on the 27th floor. From there we went to the small waterfront town of Mandeville. Found the local bar & grill The Beach House and enjoyed an early dinner on the patio with a nice breeze. Before we headed out of town we went to the local waterfront park for a few moments. Took a few pics then back on the road we were. We are now in our hotel room. Once the rain stops we may venture out and walk around to see what's happening. I love being able to still do my business thing and family thing even while traveling. It's such a blessing.
